Tutors International has spoken out in support of government plans to register home schooling families in the UK, and outlines plans to help families with the registration process

"We provide many home schooling families with full-time private tutors, and have seen a wide spectrum of reasons behind their decision to home school," said Adam. "These can range from a severe school phobia through to a desire to have a more flexible lifestyle that can accommodate travel. It saddens me that some home schooling families are feeling threatened by the government's recent proposals to register home schooled children, when the government is trying to protect a fundamental human right to education."

"Article 26 of the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: "Everyone has the right to education" and this fundamental right needs to be protected, especially in the case of home schooled children. Checks need to be in place to ensure that they are actually being educated adequately," Adam explained.
